Recumbant Exercise Bike
Schwinn Active 20 Series Recumbent Exercise Bike
This bicycle rocks! It’s an especially great way to stay in shape if you have back problems. I’ve been having some problems with my back recently after I started lifting weights and riding a stationary bicycle at the gym. Now I do all my cardio exercise inside my living room using this recumbant exercise bike. I’m still burning my target number of calories every day, and now my back doesn’t hurt at all!
This recumbant exercise bike is much more comfortable to sit on than a traditional stationary bicycle that seems like it’s ramming the hard bicycle seat up your arse. The BioFit seat on this recumbent bike is nicely padded with lumbar support for your back, and adjustable to two different heights and nine different positions.
The recumbent exercise bike features 11 different routines to challenge you and keep you from getting bored. There’s eight computer controlled wind-resistance levels to keep you working hard even as you get into better shape. The belt drive is very smooth and whisper quiet, and everything works in a well-balanced manner — it’s very stable and there’s no danger of tipping over at all.
Some other cool features about the bike are pulse rate monitors built into the grips. In addition to your pulse, the large and easy-to-read LCD shows your speed, distance, RPM, and calories burned. You can even set profile presets to customize the workouts to your own personal physical fitness level and age.
Regarding the physical specifications of the recumbent exercise bike, it’s actually pretty compact, and can fit in the corner of your living room. There’s also little wheels on the bottom that let you roll it out of the way into the next room or into a large closet when you’re done working out. It weighs about 59 pounds and has a pretty high maximum weight capacity of 275 pounds, which would be a very large man.
Note that some people have complained about the strange “new bike” smell when you first open it out of the package. Don’t worry, the smell goes away after a few days.
I already burned a lot of fat with my recumbant exercise bike — I reduced my waist size about three inches over the past 3 months, which means I can once again wear the pants I wore back in high school 15 years ago. Now, I’m striving to build a six pack on my abs. This bike is an essential part of me reaching that goal, as it’s a pleasure to use and keeps me motivated, and I can even use it while I’m watching my favorite TV show.
